Jim Keefer's 'All God's Creatures' is a public charity exempt from federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions to JKAGC are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Donation Giving

Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures has several options for donors to offer a gift or pledge. Below are a few ways to make a conventional cash based gift. Other giving options include leaving a gift via your last will and testament, a charitable gift annuitiy, or a charitable remainder trust. If you do not see an option that meets your need, please contact JKAGC at 570-326-7983 M-F.

Cash Gift - Typically, each year 90% of charitable gifts come from individuals. It is only through individual support that Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures has been able to accomplish its mission for the past 21 years. If you wish to make a cash gift now, you may do so in any of the following ways:

Planned Giving

Planned gifts are commonly known as gifts made to a charitable organization through a will, gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, stocks and other gifts that can provide guaranteed income to you and your spouse for life. In most cases, these kind of gifts are above most banking rates as established by the American Council on Gift Annuities. (ACGA)
Below are examples of commonly used gift planning vehicles used today. Since every person has their own unique situation we recommend you talk to your financial advisor, tax accountant or attorney to have a thorough estate plan analysis done. If you do not have this type of assistance available, please contact our office and we will provide you with names of advisors for you to interview.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Some people do not realize that through their employer they may be able to double or triple their gift through the matching gift program their employer offers. Many companies have these programs for their current employees and retirees to make contributions to the charity of their choice. Many are for charitable institutions like Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures. Your gift is important to us and we encourage you to maximize your gift and it's impact through this type of program. Gifts of Stock

Gifts of securities are an excellent way to make a gift that has tax advantages for you. Below are a couple of ways in which you can make a stock gift:

Electronically through your broker. Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures welcomes the idea of maintaining a gift account. Please be sure to call our office with the information as to the date the transfer is expected, the shares involved, and the estimated value of the gift on the date of the transfer.
Securities delivered by mail. You will need to send the unendorsed certificate(s) and a stock power of attorney form. They must be sent in separate envelopes by registered mail to:

The following information is needed to complete the gift transaction regardless of the method you choose:

Including JKAGC in Your Will

Name Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures in your Last Will and Testament. You can choose to name a specific dollar amount, a specific number of shares of stock or a percentage of your estate.

To do this we suggest you use the following wording:

"I bequeath to Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures, 2760 Blair Street, Montoursville,PA 17754, (amount, or % ) of my estate to be used for the common good of Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures."

If you have not considered leaving a gift to Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures, we would ask that you consider this kind of option. If you have already named Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures in your will please let us know in order that we may properly thank you and you family .

Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between the individual or couple and Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures. It is a financial and estate planning opportunity. Annuities offer favorable tax benefits, a guaranteed stream of income for life, and the knowledge that their gift is secure in perpetuity for the beneficiary. Today's rates range from 5.25% to 9.5% and are determined by your current age.

For example, a 75 year old person purchases a $25,000 (minimum, no maximum) single life charitable gift annuity (CGA) from Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures and chooses to receive an interest payment quarterly. The rate is 5%. The charitable deduction in the same year the gift annuity is taken is $19,750.00. Annual annuity will be $3,500. The tax free portion is $2,400 and the ordinary income is $1,135.. And, the monthly income for life is $290. There are other favorable estate tax issues as well. Retirement Plan Beneficiary

When you purchase a life insurance policy you are asked to name a first and second beneficiary. Simply place the name of Jim Keefer's All God's Creatures, 2760 Blair Street, Montoursville, PA 17754 on the lines provided. It is as simple as that.
